Eligibility Requirements for USA Water Polo's Junior Olympics: Checklist for Success
Are you ready to participate in the Junior Olympics? If so, there are a few things you'll need to check off your list before you can compete. USA Water Polo & the Referees check eligibility before every game, all year round… so it’s best to update your account at the beginning of the year and you won’t have any issues.
Player Photo Uploaded: You'll need to have a current photo of yourself uploaded to your profile. This is usually required for identification purposes, and it's important to make sure that the photo is a clear, headshot of just you.
Active Gold Membership: In order to be eligible to participate in the Junior Olympics, you'll need to have an active gold membership with the organization. This typically involves paying an annual fee and ensuring that all membership requirements are met.
Birth Date Verification: You'll also need to have your birth date verified by the organization. This is usually done by submitting a copy of your birth certificate or other official documentation to USA Water Polo.
Club Affiliation: If you are a member of a club or team, you'll need to ensure that you are properly affiliated with that organization. This typically involves filling out the appropriate paperwork and submitting it to the relevant parties. (San Francisco Water Polo Club Warriors #31681)
Covid Waiver: In light of the ongoing pandemic, it's likely that you'll be required to sign a Covid waiver before participating in the junior Olympics. This waiver will outline the measures that have been put in place to protect players from the spread of the virus, and it will require you to acknowledge that you understand and accept these measures.
Additional Waivers: Depending on the specific requirements of the Junior Olympics, you may also be required to sign additional waivers. These could include waivers for medical treatment, liability, or other purposes. It's important to read these waivers carefully and make sure you understand the terms before signing.
By following this checklist and making sure that all of these items are taken care of, you'll be well on your way to being eligible to participate in the Junior Olympics. Good luck!
